Our Co-Founder and CEO Herb Kahan was honored in Home Furnishing News’ inaugural 60 over 60 issue.
Along with a picture of Herb, HFN provided the following description:
“Never mind being over 60 years old, Herb Kahan has spent more than 60 years in the fabric industry. He happened upon what would become his lifelong career after he returned from the Korean War and landed a job at a Boston-based fabric distributor. After working his way up from “roll schlepper” to executive, Kahan founded Regal Fabrics in 1987 with his wife Arlene, with whom he worked until her passing in 2017. Regal started with a small line of European tapestries and has grown to become a major upholstery fabric supplier. Today, Kahan continues to work in the Middleton, Mass., office every day. Kahan’s children—Steve and Ronda—have now been with Regal Fabrics for over two decades, and his two grandsons also recently joined the business.”
