Most liquids can simply be blotted from the surface. For more difficult stains use a mixture of mild detergent (such as Dawn or Woolite) and water, or a mild upholstery cleaner. Solvent cleaning requires thorough spot testing.
Apply cleaner to stain and blot with a clean cloth. Rinse and blot to remove residue of soap or cleaner.
